Autumn Thoughts

So this is my first post in this lovely season of Autumn, my favorite of all. The air is crisp and the metamorphosis of nature is so apparent and beautiful. I envy natures way of informing the world that its changing; its stages of growth and cycling are so graceful. In Autumn, we witness the world transitioning; dying, ripening, being reborn right before our eyes And like the penultimate stanza in a poem, or 2nd line 7th syllable of haiku, we stop to marvel at the beauty autumn brings before moving on. How could I not fall in to suit and change, transition into a better, more aged me?

"And the day came when the risk it took to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom" -Anais Nin ~~~~What a powerful quote, I know my day is coming soon.

Mule of the World

I had a dream last night, I can't remember it all, but there were a bunch of men that I knew and I remember feeling discriminated against because I was a woman. After confronting them, one of the guys say "You know the woman is the mule of the world". This being a quote from Zora Neal Hurston's Their Eyes were watching God had me pondering the plight of women worldwide. It makes you wanna holler I am human, and I am worth so much more than this. Expect a future blog entry on this issue.

Obama is my pacifier...

but he should have left me crying and angry. They got me to shut up temporarily, but I'm about to spit that shit out and yell even louder. Another future entry!!!

Happy Autumn everyone!!!!
